Essential Thoughts from a Non-Essential Worker
The PGA Championship starts tomorrow in San Francisco at a golf course I’ve played many times. It will be interesting to see it on TV (fans aren’t allowed). I am most looking forward to seeing how the professionals carry themselves and where they hit their shots on many of the same holes that I’ve stood on before. That’s the beauty of golf in my opinion, there’s no way I could relate to a professional football player playing in a large stadium, or an NBA player in an arena. Other sports/hobbies that are also relatable… track, cycling, come to mind.
I hope you are all doing well, the year is flying by even with COVID, are there any positives you can take away from the year so far? Let me know!

Question of the Week
Q: “I have my Roth IRA set up through Vanguard and I would like to invest. What portfolio allocation do you recommend?” - Josh K
A: A super passive & easy portfolio anyone can set up is what’s called a three fund portfolio. It’s comprised of three asset classes: US Stocks, Intl Stocks, and Bonds. Right now with interest rates, bonds don’t yield a very high return, so I’d weight your portfolio heavier into equities. The three funds that most people choose are: VTSAX, VTIAX, and VBTLX, the ETF versions are: VTI, VXUS, and BND.
