Hello friends and welcome to the FIFTH edition of Hump Days. Glad you’re here.
Essential Thoughts from a Non-Essential Worker
I’m not sure if this is universally true, but I’ve always believed that life comes at you in waves. Another popular analogy is that of the roller coaster. Some days are great & you’re at the top [of the world], other days are dark, gloomy and you’re in a lull. This applies to almost everything: work & staying productive, relationships, family, health, etc.
Today I’m somewhere in the middle. If you’re at the top, stay in the present and savor. At the bottom: think long-term, maintain perspective, and take small wins.

Question of the Week
Q: “What if I owe nothing on a credit card and decide to cancel it - will it hurt my credit?” - User: Chipmunk on Tik Tok
A: Possibly. With every card that you own, you’ll get an amount of credit allotted to you. Your total amount of credit available across all cards is called your credit utilization. If you cancel your credit card, even if you aren’t using it, you could lower your overall credit limit - which means that if you DO have a balance on other cards, your percentage of credit utilization could go up. FICO likes to see credit utilization around 20-30% or under that. I like to keep mine close to zero.
